Rationale for Materials: I developed each of these materials during the course as we prepared materials for the classes that each member of the course would teach. These materials deal specifically with teaching issues specific to my discipline, including the unique considerations in writing syllabi and planning activities and assessments to teach psychology.

Workshop: During the Certification in College Teaching Institute on May 11-12, 2017, I attended a break out session where we discussed the value of teaching statements, types of statements, and how to write them to effectively. I also attended a session on types of institutions and how teaching experiences differ among them.
